I submitted an abstract for the 41st Lunar and Planetary Sciences Conference (LPSC). The abstract is required to be two pages with two columns each, and to be submitted in pdf format. My first thought was, that is prime for LaTeX. I searched around and found a great template by Ross Beyer. For some reason, I was just not quite satisfied with his template. This was most likely just the part of me that likes to do things myself.

So I created my own template. In that process I borrowed a few lines from his template. I also liked the license he chose to use, the Creative Commons 3.0 License. So my version of the style guide uses the same license.

Below are the files needed for the abstract.

lpsc_style.sty

LPSCshort_url.bst

jasa.bst

lpsc_abstract.tex

and to test the example use

LPSCplots_flat2.pdf

MSL.bib

This should be the output you get

lpsc_abstract.pdf
